Alright, let's dive into Part 12! We're kicking things off with a boss fight against Shan-Yu in The Land of Dragons. This guy means business, so get ready!
Stats / Weaknesses:
- HP: 442

Phases:
- Phase 1: Defeat Shan-Yu while guarding the gates.
- Where: The Land of Dragons, near the gates.
- What you see: Shan-Yu is attacking, and Heartless are trying to break down the gates.
- What to do: Activate Valor Form immediately and go all out on Shan-Yu. If you've leveled up your Drive Gauge, this extended form will be a huge help. Keep an eye on the gates! If the Heartless start breaking them down, switch gears and take them out. Defeating Heartless drops orbs that actually reinforce the gates, so prioritize them if they get too low. Mulan's Red Rocket Limit is super effective for clearing out groups of Heartless quickly. Also, don't forget to use your Triangle Reaction Commands when they pop up – they'll make this fight much smoother.
- Why this way: Letting the Heartless destroy the gates means you fail the objective. Focusing on Shan-Yu without managing the Heartless means you'll be overwhelmed.

Checking up on the Beast:
Where: Beast's Castle - Entrance Hall and surrounding areas.
What you see: After a cutscene, you'll be swarmed by Shadows. Beast will eventually show up. You'll also find a Moogle Shop and new enemies.
What to do: Beat enough Shadows, and Beast will step in. Then, head to the Entrance Hall. After you've done some shopping at the Moogle Shop (check the prices below!), you'll encounter a new enemy. Defeat it, then exit into the Courtyard.

Hook Bat Enemy Details:

| Hook Bats fly around and have a swooping somersault attack and an ultrasonic attack. They aren't hard to avoid, but hitting them can be tricky. Use the Reaction Command 'Bat Cry' to hit all surrounding foes. | ||
Where: Beast's Castle - Courtyard.
What you see: Lots of Heartless, plus some chests!
What to do: In the Courtyard, you'll find a [HI-POTION] (2/21), a [MYTHRIL SHARD] (3/21), and an [AP BOOST] (1/21). After grabbing those, head back through the Entrance Hall and go up the stairs to the right. Talk to Belle, then open the [CHESTS] containing the [CASTLE MAP] (4/21) and a [MEGA-RECIPE] (5/21).
