Guide to Fantasy Life's Trial of Time (Part 2) walkthrough. Learn strategies for defeating Medusa, Dark Giant, and the final boss Killertaur on floors 5-8.
Walkthrough
- 15th Floor
- Navigate a mini-maze with mummies, mimics, and snake bosses.
- 2West of the first crossroad: Challenge a Medusa and four mummies to unlock treasure chests (one is a Mimic).
- 3The Medusa mini-boss has bite attacks (can inflict Poison), fire breath, and a tail swipe (inflicts Fire damage). Ranged attackers have an advantage, but its attacks are not very threatening.
- 4Giant Mimics can rarely drop an Ancient Stone+. Re-enter the floor to respawn them if needed.
- 5North-east of the floor: Face the main boss, a Deadly Medusa, accompanied by two weaker Medusas.
- 6The Deadly Medusa shares moves with the regular Medusa. Its shadow breath is easier to avoid by staying close to its body.
- 7The Deadly Medusa's tail swipe has a wider range and inflicts Poison.
- 8Defeating the Deadly Medusa may yield a rare Spell Stone+ as an item drop. The door to the next warp circle will open.
- 96th Floor
- This floor is a mini-boss arena. You must defeat the Dark Giant and two Berserk Giants.
- 10The Dark Giant's attacks were discussed on the 3rd floor.
- 11Prioritize defeating the weaker Berserk Giants first. They have painful attacks like the mega punch and rotating arms.
- 12The golems are slow-moving, allowing you to lure them one by one or use allies as distractions.
- 137th Floor
- Save your game at the Save crystal.
- 14Cash in bounties or restock supplies from the Fluffkin clerk.
- 15You can buy Ancient Stones and Divinus Appliqués from the Fluffkin.
- 16Before advancing, shake the two apple trees on either side to collect Golden Apples, used for crafting stat-boosting candies.
- 178th Floor
- This is the final floor where you face the tower boss, the Killertaur.
- 18The Killertaur's attacks include: pounding with his giant club (creating a line of fire), generating a fiery whirlwind and pounding forward (unleashing fire), and leaping into the air to create a fiery explosion upon landing.
- 19When the Killertaur gets its club stuck in the ground after leaping, you have an opportunity for safe hits.
- 20As its HP drops, the Killertaur will roar, interrupting movement, and then roll forward.
- 21After creating a fiery whirlwind, it may transition into its leaping attack instead of pounding forward.
- 22Be mindful of your HP and use potions as needed due to its large size and wild attacks.
- 23After defeating the Killertaur, the way ahead will be unlocked.
- 24The treasure chests at the top of the tower yield the best items. Equip Treasure Gloves if you have them.
- 25Inspect the Goddess’s statue to warp back to the base of the tower.
