Learn how to level up, distribute stat points, and understand Life Ranks and Skills in Fantasy Life to become a Master.

Hey there! So you've made it to Castele, huh? This section is all about getting your character set up right from the start, covering how you'll grow stronger and what all those fancy terms like 'Life Ranks' and 'Skills' actually mean. Think of it as your personal training manual for becoming a legend in Reveria!

Leveling Up and Stats

First things first, you'll be gaining experience points (XP) from all sorts of activities – fighting monsters, crafting, gathering, and even doing favors for folks around town. When you rack up enough XP, you'll level up! Each level-up gives you a boost to your HP and, more importantly, some stat points to spend. If your level is a multiple of 10, you get an extra point, so keep an eye out for those!

Now, how you spend these points is totally up to you and how you want to play. If you're planning to master one Life, like being a mighty Paladin, you might want to dump all your points into Strength and Vitality. But if you're the jack-of-all-trades type, bouncing between Lives, spreading your stats evenly might be the way to go. Honestly, there's no single 'correct' way to do it, so experiment!

The game does give you a basic rundown in the 'Status' menu, but here's a more detailed look at what each stat actually does:

Improving Yourself: Stars, Ranks, and Skills

As you progress, you'll encounter 'Stars'. These are earned by completing 'Life Challenges', which are special quests tied to your current Life. You get these challenges when you Rank Up or from other characters who share your Life. You can check your active challenges under the 'Quests' menu.

Once you collect enough Stars, you can ascend to the next Life Rank. You start as a 'Fledgling', but the ultimate goal is to become a 'Master' or even higher! Remember, Stars are specific to your current Life, so if you switch Lives, you'll be working towards a new set of Stars for that Life.

Then there are 'Skills'. You get these when you first acquire a new Life. Skills are super important because they unlock new abilities, like letting you equip certain weapons (the Paladin's Longsword Skill, for example) or craft new items. The cool part is, once you learn a Skill, you keep it even if you change Lives! Just be aware that some gear is restricted to specific Lives, so always check the item details.

And of course, we've already covered 'Leveling Up'!

If you're ready to fine-tune your stats, just open the Menu, head to 'Status', use the arrows to adjust your points, and hit 'Confirm' when you're satisfied.

Back Home: Your First Room

Alright, enough training for now! Time to head back home. Just follow that handy red arrow on your bottom screen, all the way back to Castele Square, and then head upstairs to your cozy attic room. Pam will be waiting for you!

She's got a little welcome gift for you: a 'Worn-Out Chair'. Not exactly a throne, but hey, it's a start! As a Carpenter, you can even make your own furniture later on, or just buy it.

Your room is also your personal hub. Through the 'My Room' option, you can rearrange furniture, check your mail, and store or retrieve items. For now, let's get that chair placed. Go into 'My Room', select 'Rearrange', then 'Decor', and choose the chair. You can move it around with the D-Pad or Circle Pad and set it down with the A button. If you mess up, just hover over it and press X to put it back in storage.

After you've got the hang of furniture placement, Pam will leave, but not before mentioning 'Dosh' (that's your money!) and 'Bliss'. So, what's Bliss?

Basically, Bliss is a measure of your overall happiness in the game. You can earn Bliss by hitting milestones, like leveling up for the first time, or by completing 'Flutter's Requests'. Once you've collected enough Bliss, you can visit Flutter in your room for a 'Bliss Check'. This allows you to redeem 'Bliss Bonuses' – special features that make your game experience even better!

Now, get some rest! You've earned it after your first day in Reveria.
