Complete walkthrough for Fantasy Life's Trial of Darkness (Part 2), covering floors 5-10, including boss strategies for Shadow Bigbeak, Shadow Gargoyles, Giant Crab, Deadly Medusa, Shadow Dragon, and the Demon Master.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
5th Floor: Upon arrival, you'll be ambushed by five Shadow Baby Dragons, with three more to the north. Defeat them individually. Afterwards, choose either the east or west passage, both leading to the exit and filled with shadowy monsters. In the south, defeat a Shadow Bigbeak to unlock the door to the next warp circle.
  2. 2
6th Floor: In the center of this floor, you must defeat three Shadow Gargoyles. These enemies have wide-ranged and damaging attacks. It's recommended to lure them one at a time or have allies distract two while you focus on one.
  3. 3
7th Floor: This floor's layout resembles the 3rd floor. Head south to find two Dark Spiders, then turn right to face a Giant Crab. Lure it out of the narrow corridor before fighting. To the south of the Giant Crab are two treasure chests guarded by a Moth Queen. Heading north past the Giant Crab leads to three treasure chests guarded by a Medusa. Continue east from the Giant Crab until you hit a wall, then head north. In the northeast corner, defeat a Deadly Medusa to progress.
  4. 4
8th Floor: This floor features the penultimate boss: a Shadow Dragon accompanied by three Baby Shadow Dragons.
  5. 5
9th Floor: This is a resting floor. You can shake the two apple trees to obtain Galaxy Apples. There is also a bounty clerk; cash in any bounties you have.
  6. 6
10th Floor: The final boss is the Demon Master. It attacks with wide claw swipes, a forward shadowy breath, and casts rings of magic circles. When its HP is below half, it summons lightning and larger magic circles. It may also perform multi-swipes with its claws.
Tips
  • Shadow Bigbeak: Refer to the Hunter’s Hero Rank page for tips.
  • Shadow Gargoyles: A single gargoyle is manageable, but three at once are exponentially harder. Lure them individually or have allies distract them.
  • Giant Crab: Strategy is similar to the one encountered at Penguin Beach. Lure it out of the narrow corridor if possible.
  • Shadow Dragon: Refer to the Paladin’s Hero Rank page for detailed tips.
  • Demon Master: Evade claw attacks by staying behind or to the side. The shadowy breath can be avoided by finding a good space. To evade the magic circle rings, stay close to or run towards the boss. Listen for a “flickering” sound effect. When its HP is below half, listen for a “flaming” sound effect and either run away, use a God skill, or a special skill. For the multi-claw swipes, Paladins can shield; others should rely on auto-guard by not attacking. Positioning is crucial.
  • Galaxy Apples (from apple trees on the 9th Floor)
