Guide your way through the Ancient Tower in Fantasy Life's EX2: The Disaster's Return! Learn strategies for tough bosses like the Divine Guardian and Dark Giants, and how to deal with Dogu.
Alright, we're diving into EX2: The Disaster's Return! (2) in Fantasy Life. This part takes us up the Ancient Tower, and it's not going to be a walk in the park, but don't worry, I've got your back!
Ancient Tower - 4th Floor
First up is the 4th floor of the Ancient Tower. This one's pretty straightforward – it's an outdoor area where you just need to make your way from the west side to the east side. You'll find some treasure chests and some friendly Elder Horns and Angelic Bunnies hanging around, so no need to worry about any real threats here.
Ancient Tower - 5th Floor
Now, the 5th floor is where things start to get spicy. Don't just rush in blindly; take a moment to get your bearings. This floor is a circular arena, and it's packed with enemies. You're going to face three Iron Guardians and one super-tough Divine Guardian. This is definitely a tough fight, so let's get strategic.
The best approach here is to take out the weaker Iron Guardians first. Once they're down, you can focus all your attention on the Divine Guardian. He's got attacks similar to the Iron Guardians, but watch out for his special move: he'll pause for a moment before unleashing a devastating barrage of sword waves straight ahead. It hits hard, so be ready to dodge!
If you're feeling a bit overwhelmed or just want a different approach, you could try sneaking past them. They aren't the fastest enemies, so it might be an option if you're feeling nimble.
Ancient Tower - 6th Floor
Phew, finally a breather! The 6th floor is your rest stop. You can save your game here, which is always a good idea. Plus, it's a great spot to turn in any bounties you've collected. Right now, you can turn in bounties for the Darkzine and the Divine Guardian. Turning in the Divine Guardian bounty is particularly worthwhile, as you can snag a nice Soul Stone+. Don't forget to check out the treasure chests on this floor too before you head through the warp circle to the very top floor.
Deal with Dogu…the only way you can!
We've made it to the top of the tower, but the real challenge is just beginning! Dogu has lost it and is controlling two seriously dangerous-looking golems. He's not listening to reason, so it looks like we have to fight our way through.
The Dark Giants protecting Dogu are some of the toughest enemies you'll encounter. Honestly, I don't recommend trying to fight them head-on unless you're really looking for a brutal challenge. They have a nasty spinning arm attack, similar to regular golems but with a much longer range and an explosion at the end. On top of that, they can blast a massive laser beam that does insane damage if it connects. You do NOT want to get hit by that.
To avoid taking a beating (and a massive hospital bill!), the smart move is to let Leo and Yuelia distract the golems. While they're busy, you can sneak around and take care of Dogu himself. If you've locked onto a golem and need to switch targets, just press the Y button.
Report back to Pam
You've saved the day... again! So, what's the very first thing you should do? Head back and report to Pam, who's waiting outside her house. You'll want to spread the word about your epic victory, right?
Search for Yuelia
The next morning, you notice Yuelia isn't in your house. That's strange, where could she have gone? Your quest isn't quite over yet. Head out of your house and make your way to the Goddess's fountain in the central plaza. This is where you'll wrap up the Origin Island storyline, and believe it or not, all the main story content in the game. Sniff!
