Hey there! So you're diving into Fantasy Life and want to know how to get ahead? It's all about advancing your 'Life' – think of it like your job or class. To do that, you'll be collecting Stars by completing Challenges specific to your chosen Life. As you gather enough Stars, you'll rank up from Fledgling all the way to Master, and if you're really dedicated (especially with the DLC!), you can even reach Hero and Legend ranks!

It's important to remember that each Life has its own set of Stars. So, if you're working on earning Stars as a Mercenary, those won't count towards your progress as a Tailor. You'll need to earn them separately for each Life you want to master.

Challenges

What exactly are Challenges? They're basically tasks or mini-missions. This could be anything from defeating a certain number of a specific monster to collecting a set amount of a particular item. Usually, you'll get new Challenges automatically when you rank up in your Life. But keep an eye out, because your Life colleagues might also offer you additional Challenges!

Don't feel like you have to complete every single Challenge to rank up. You only need enough to get the required Stars. However, if your goal is to reach the highest rank, Legend, you'll need to complete absolutely every Challenge available – so get ready for a serious grind!

Life Colleagues

Don't underestimate the power of friendship in Reveria! You're not the only one with a Life; there are NPCs who also have a Life or a connection to one, and they'll have a Life symbol next to their name. If you share the same Life as one of these NPCs, they're your Life Colleague – think of them as a buddy or a rival who's happy to share their knowledge or just have a chat.

How do you find them? Just look for a “?” speech bubble above their head. That means they have something new to tell you, which could be anything from casual banter to a free item, a party invitation, or even a new Challenge!

Challenge Rules

Now for some of the finer details. Good news: you can complete Challenges in any order you like. For instance, you could tackle a Master Challenge even if you're still a Fledgling, if you're feeling brave!

Also, the Life you're currently in usually doesn't matter for Challenges, unless the Challenge specifically says so. So, if a Challenge asks you to mine 100 ore deposits, you can do that as any Life. But if it says “as a Miner,” then you'll need to switch to the Miner Life first.
