Complete the Tailor introductory quests in fantasy life, including making Dandelion Cotton and the Fluffy Ribbon Top.
Walkthrough
- 1Go to the Royal Castele Workshop in the Castele Artisans’ District. Head to the Tailors’ workshop at the end of the building. Madam Purl will give you a Training Needle and the recipe for Dandelion Cotton.
- 2Speak to Spoolie the plushling in the same room to find out what else is needed for Dandelion Cotton.
- 3Spoolie tells you to find Taylor in West Castele for Dandelion Puffs. Leave the Royal Workshop, return to Castele Square, head south to South Castele, cross the bridge, and continue west at the central crossroads to reach West Castele.
- 4Find Taylor outside the choir hall, which is directly north upon arrival in West Castele. She will give you Dandelion Puffs.
- 5Return to the Royal Workshop and show Spoolie the Dandelion Puffs.
- 6Equip the Training Needle from the “Gear” section of your Menu.
- 7Inspect the work table in the middle of the Tailors’ workshop. Select the Dandelion Cotton recipe from the Materials section.
- 8Craft the Dandelion Cotton by following the on-screen instructions. This involves timing button presses for cutting fabric with scissors, using the sewing machine, and threading with the needle. The instructions appear in the bottom-left corner of the top screen and are typically in a sequence like Needle, Scissors, Sewing Machine.
- 9Monitor the Completion gauge in the top-left corner. Reach 100% before the timer in the top-right corner runs out. If you fail, you won't lose materials.
- 10Once Dandelion Cotton is made, show it to Madam Purl.
- 11Madam Purl will teach you the recipe for the Fluffy Ribbon Top.
- 12Leave the Royal Workshop and go to the Castele Fashion Boutique in Castele Square. Speak with Zippy. Taylor will also be present.
- 13Find the cloth merchant in the Artisans District.
Tips
- Crafting is easier to do than to explain; give it a try to understand the process.
- The crafting mini-game involves mashing the A button to cut fabric, pressing A with correct timing for the sewing machine, and timing A to thread with the needle.
- You can move between the Mash, Press, and Thread sections by pressing Left or Right on the D-Pad or L or R buttons.
