Alright, so you've stumbled into this raider camp, and the main objective here is to get Tandi back. First things first, don't go chatting up every raider you see. They're a bit jumpy, and you don't want to draw unnecessary attention. Your main target is Garl, the leader, who's decked out in metal armor. Just try to slip past the others and head straight for the main building where he'll be.

If, by chance, one of the raiders does try to talk to you, just play it cool. Tell them you're with Garl or that you're just passing through. The goal is to avoid a fight if you can, at least until you deal with Garl.

Once you find Garl, you've got a few ways to get Tandi back. You can try to wrestle him, which is a pretty straightforward option if you're feeling confident. Bartering is another possibility if you've got the right stuff. You can also try to talk your way out of it, or, if all else fails, you can just go for the direct approach and take him out. Keep in mind, not every character can do every option, but fighting him is always on the table.

Pro Tip: If you're playing as a male character, wearing leather armor, and have good Charisma and Intelligence, Garl might mistake you for his father! This opens up some pretty funny dialogue options, so it's worth trying if your stats allow.

After you've secured Tandi's release, you need to head back to Shady Sands. Make sure you actually return her to Seth and Aradesh. If you don't, she'll just kind of wander off and become another nameless NPC, which would be a shame.

Quick Heads-Up: If you decide to go in guns blazing and wipe out all the raiders, you won't get any quest experience for freeing Tandi. The game considers this a pretty risky move, especially early on, as these guys can be tough. It's definitely doable, especially if Ian is with you, but be prepared for a tough fight.
