Walkthrough
- 1After convincing King Euma to fight, you'll be prompted to battle at the Inn. You can choose to explore more to recruit party members before proceeding.
- 2Speak to Janquis when ready to begin the strategy battle against the Empire.
- 3This battle introduces new mechanics:
- Rage Mode: Activates when the Rage Meter fills from taking damage. Increases unit attack.
- 4Morale Mode: Fills when your legion deals damage. Prevents enemies from fleeing.
- 5Special Skills: Usable at the start of battle for buffs.
- 6You start managing three units. Keep them together initially for safety and to easily engage approaching legions.
- 7When a fourth legion joins during your first skirmish, split your legions into two teams. Focus on fighting units moving towards you, not the back lines.
- 8After returning to the palace, a cutscene triggers the second strategy battle: Defeating Goldwyn’s Ambush.
- 9You begin with all four units. Move in pairs to attack incoming soldiers.
- 10As you fight, Empire soldiers will turn on Goldwyn after his assassination plot is revealed. You cannot control this unit, but they will attack Goldwyn.
- 11Move your units towards Goldwyn and attack him. Use Morale Mode to prevent him from escaping.
- 12With all units and new allies, the battle will conclude. A cutscene will explain the allies' motives.
- 13You will automatically return to your Headquarters, and the Empire deserters will join your party.
Tips
- Keep your initial three units together until the fourth legion joins.
- Target legions moving towards your units.
- Once parts of the Empire change sides, focus your attacks on Goldwyn.
- Use Morale Mode to shorten the battle by preventing Goldwyn from running away.
