Conquer the Hero's Trial in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes! This guide covers Normal and Endless modes, detailing floors 1-26, boss strategies, and rewards.

The Hero’s Trial is located in the basement of your castle after building the Mysterious Room. You unlock the Hero’s Trial Ground via your castle’s blueprints. The node is called the Mysterious Room and is available from HQ Level 3 onwards. Building it requires 1,960 HQ Funds, 5x Platinum Ore, 4x Excellent Lacquer, and 3x Dire Beastbone. Once built, interact with the red, glowing tablet in the castle basement.

Inside, you’ll meet an NPC named Selbineth, who explains the basics. The Hero’s Trial is a gauntlet of floors, each with two battles against normal enemies followed by a boss battle. There are 26 floors in total, and clearing them all is necessary for the Hero Beyond Time and Space trophy/achievement. Most bosses are from the main story or optional dungeons, but the 26th floor boss is unique to this area.

Checkpoints are awarded after every fifth floor, allowing you to exit and resume later. Your party is fully healed every fifth floor, but status effects carry over between battles otherwise. There are two modes: Normal Mode and Endless Mode (unlocked after clearing Normal), where enemies gradually increase in strength.

Before each floor, a brief description of the boss is shown. Between floors, you are forced to include a specific party member in your active party. A Support-slot character can often be substituted without disrupting your main party.

Normal Mode - Floors 1-5

This section covers the bosses and enemies on the first five floors. It’s an opportunity to get the bestiary entry for Slaosha if missed during the main story. The Kogen/Yuthus/Zabi trio is likely the toughest boss in this initial set.

Normal Mode - Floors 6-10

This section details the bosses and enemies on floors six through ten. The Pagurian’s gimmick is absent here, allowing direct targeting. The Chimera has its gimmick, so only use the Rune Tank when it uses Build Up.

Normal Mode - Floors 11-15

This section lists the bosses and enemies for floors 11 through 15. The SpookyBear-Revenant floor features a weaker version in the second battle and a powered-up version as the boss. You will face the Goblomancer again, this time with Letus. Unlike the Chelonian Goliath fight, you must defeat Letus here, as the battle doesn’t end with the Goblomancer’s defeat.
