Walkthrough

    Ensure Isha and Garoo are recruited. Garoo joins automatically through the main story, while Isha is optional.

    Go to your castle, exit it, and proceed towards the southern entrance. A cutscene will trigger, introducing CJ and her discovery of treasure in the Barrows.

    Teleport to Arenside. The Runebarrows are located southeast of Arenside in Grum County-North.

    Enter the Runebarrows. You will need to add CJ to your party at this point.

    A scene will play, followed by a mandatory boss battle against Prometheus. You cannot win this fight. Defend for a few turns until prompted to flee. Keep trying to flee if it fails initially.

    After escaping Prometheus, navigate the dungeon. You can choose to go left or right.

Runebarrows - Right Path:

  1. Interact with the smaller button on the ground to open a door.
  2. Head straight right to a dead end to find a chest containing a Wealth Badge (increases Baqua gained from battles).
  3. Return to the fork and head north.
  4. Step on the blue orb to be transported to a smaller room with a statue puzzle.
  5. Push the statue up to land on the red pressure plate, opening the door to the right.
  6. Pass through the doorway and head north at the intersection.
  7. Open the chest in the middle of the room for Faded Book, Chapter 8.
  8. Follow the path to stairs and go down to the lower floor.
  9. In the bottom left corner, find a chest with the Dark Chocolate Cake Recipe.
  10. Before interacting with the device at the end of the path, look past it for a final chest containing the Rune of the Warrior’s Pinnacle.
  11. Interact with the device to start the first statue puzzle (Second Puzzle 1).
  12. Puzzle 1: You have 5 moves to place three statues on switches.
    • Move the left statue to the right, onto the middle switch. (1 move used)
    • Push the bottom statue up, onto the bottom switch. (2 moves used)
    • Push the last statue up, then left, then down, onto the final switch. (5 moves used total)
  13. Immediately after, you'll face the second puzzle (Second Puzzle 2).
  14. Puzzle 2: You have 9 moves for three statues.
    • Push the right statue left, then up, left, and up onto the top switch.
    • Push the statue now at the top left, then down onto the second switch.
    • Push the final statue in the bottom left to the right, then up, then left onto the third switch.
  15. After completing the puzzles, return to the starting room using a Runeshard of Return or by backtracking.

Runebarrows - Left Path:

  1. Interact with the button on the ground to open the door and enter the left path.
  2. This path mirrors the right side. At the first dead end, find a chest with a Super Lucky Badge (increases enemy item drop rate).
  3. At the second dead end, after deactivating the device, find a chest with the Nanami Ice Cream Recipe.
  4. Proceed to the single puzzle on this side.
Tips
  • Ensure both Garoo and Isha are in your active party before entering the Runebarrows.
  • The Wealth Badge is a valuable accessory for farming money (Baqua).
  • The Super Lucky Badge is excellent for increasing item drop rates from enemies.
  • Pay close attention to the move limits in the statue puzzles.
  • Upon successful completion of the dungeon and its puzzles, CJ will join your party.
  • Various treasures are found within the Runebarrows, including accessories, recipes, and a Rune.
