Kurtz Recruitment Guide

Learn how to recruit Kurtz in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes! Find the Grilled Tutuva Recipe and bring it to him in Hishahn to add him to your squad.

Alright, so you're looking to get Kurtz on your team in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes? He's a pretty handy support character, and you can snag him pretty early on. Here's the lowdown:

Kurtz hangs out in Hishahn, the capital of Euchrisse. You'll be able to get there shortly after you clear out the Proving Grounds Dungeon. Once you arrive, make your way to the Blacksmith, which is right in the middle of town. Kurtz will be chilling nearby.

Now, Kurtz won't just join you right away. He's got a specific request: he wants the Grilled Tutuva Recipe. Don't worry, it's not too far off. You'll need to head over to the Treefolk Village.

Once you're in Treefolk Village, make your way to the top floor. Look for a treefolk standing to the left. Chat with them, and they'll give you the Grilled Tutuva Recipe. Easy peasy!

Pro-Tip: If you haven't already, try to recruit Carrie first. She's also in Hishahn and, once recruited, unlocks fast travel. Trust me, zipping back and forth between Hishahn and Treefolk Village will save you a ton of time and hassle.

With fast travel unlocked (thanks, Carrie!), just open your map, select Treefolk Village, and grab that recipe. Then, head back to Kurtz in Hishahn. Hand over the Grilled Tutuva Recipe, and he'll happily join your growing army!

Kurtz's Special Ability

Once Kurtz is in your party, you'll be able to build the restaurant back at your HQ. His unique skill is called Food's Up. What this does is give him a chance to whip up a delicious dish for your party before combat begins, giving you a nice little buff. Plus, building the restaurant is a prerequisite for building the Mission Guild, which is super important if you're aiming to recruit every single character in the game. You'll also be able to dive into the Cookoff battle storyline, which has its own recruit at the end!
