Learn the Dead Countess boss strategy in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Discover HP, weaknesses, summoned enemies, and key attacks like Caedis Tragoedia and Inferni Gemitus.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Dead Countess HP: 5,102 (Normal Difficulty)
  • Weakness: Darkness-based spells

Phases:

  1. The Dead Countess will summon adds: Samurai-Revenant, Maiden-Revenant, and Spooky-Revenant.
  2. The Dead Countess herself.

Strategy:

  • When the fight begins, the Dead Countess will summon three Revenants. You absolutely need to focus on defeating these adds first. While they're active, you can't attack the Countess, and you'll be taking 4x damage per round, which is a recipe for disaster. Thankfully, they don't have a lot of HP, so you can take them down fairly quickly.
  • If you want to speed up clearing the adds, consider using a hero combo that hits all enemies, like the Guardians Combo.
  • Once the adds are dealt with, focus your attacks on the Dead Countess. Use your Darkness-based magic to exploit her elemental weakness for increased damage. Basic attacks are fine if you're saving your magic for healing or other party members.
  • Be aware of her two main attacks:
    • Caedis Tragoedia: This is a single-target attack that deals around 200+ damage. Keep an eye on your party's HP and be ready to heal the target.
    • Inferni Gemitus: This attack targets one of the chandeliers, dealing around 130+ damage to anyone standing on it. Try to keep your party off the chandeliers when this attack is telegraphed.
  • Make sure to keep your party's health topped up at all times, especially after Inferni Gemitus. Healing before continuing your assault is crucial.
  • Defeating the Dead Countess will reward you with the Rune of the Void, which allows the use of Level IV and VI Dark Magic.
  • After this fight, you'll immediately enter a Duel against Diradhe.
