Alright, so you're looking to get Ormond to join your crew in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes? He's a pretty handy support character, especially for improving your headquarters by boosting item drops from mining points. But before you can even think about asking him to join, you've got a couple of prerequisites to take care of.

First things first, you absolutely must have completed the Abandoned Mine dungeon. This dungeon is part of the 'Searching the Tunnels' mission, and it's a bit of a trek. You'll be pushing minecarts around to get through it, so if you haven't done it yet or want to make sure you didn't miss any goodies, I highly recommend following a dedicated walkthrough for the Abandoned Mine. Trust me, it's easy to get lost in there.

Once you've conquered the Abandoned Mine, head back to the same location via the well in your Headquarters. You'll find Ormond hanging around there. Chat him up, and he'll tell you what he wants: three Iron Ore. If you've been diligent about interacting with every node you've come across, you should already have these in your inventory. But hey, if you're short, don't sweat it too much. There's a mining node right next to Ormond that has a chance to drop Iron Ore, or you can always do another run through the Abandoned Mine – there are plenty of nodes in there.

Hand over the three Iron Ore, and Ormond will join your team! It's also worth noting that if you speak with Hiro again while you're still in the Abandoned Mine dungeon after finishing it, he'll join your party too. So, make sure to do that before you leave the dungeon area!
