Fishing in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a pretty straightforward minigame. You'll need to find a spot marked with a fishing rod icon on your map, interact with it to cast your line, and then wait for the bobber to go under. When it does, hit the interact button again to reel in your catch! It's all about timing, so don't mash the button too early or you'll scare the fish away.

Some fish are trickier and will tug the bobber under instantly, so you'll need quick reflexes. Don't worry about running out of fish at a spot; you can catch as many as you like. Keep an eye out for different fishing rods too, as they can help you catch rarer fish more easily.

How to Get Your First Fishing Rod:

You'll get the chance to fish after finishing the Barrow's Investigation and exploring Grum County. You might spot a fishing spot near Eltisweiss, but you won't have a rod yet. To get one, head north to Fort Xialuke. You'll meet Yusuke there, and then you can travel to Grum County-North. Once you're there, make your way to the village on the right side of the map, Arenside. Cross the bridge in the middle of town, turn left, and go forward until you see stone stairs. Head down them, go south across another wooden bridge, and you'll find Huang standing by the river. Chat with him, and he'll give you your first rod, the Bamboo Rod!
