The Continent is a sprawling landscape divided into five major regions: Kaer Morhen, Vizima, Velen, White Orchard, and the Skellige Isles. As you traverse these areas, you'll encounter numerous points of interest marked by a question mark ('?') on your map. Investigating these will reveal their true nature, transforming the icon into specific markers for side quests, fast travel points, dungeons, vendors, or other side activities. Efficient Travel Strategies

To navigate the expansive world of The Witcher 3 effectively, several travel methods are at your disposal:

• Waypoints: During quests, objective markers will guide you to your next destination. You can also set custom waypoints on your world map, which will appear on your mini-map during gameplay. Following these waypoints provides the quickest route, indicated by a white dotted trail on the world map. A footprint icon near the mini-map shows your distance to the waypoint and its relative elevation.
• Fast Travel: Discovering and interacting with Fast Travel sposts scattered throughout the world unlocks them as destinations. Once unlocked, you can instantly travel to any previously visited spost from any other unlocked spost by selecting it on your world map.
• Horse Riding (Roach): Summon your horse, Roach, anytime to travel faster than on foot. Roach offers three speeds: Walking (slowest, most maneuverable), Canter (faster), and Gallop (fastest). Holding the run button initiates a gallop, which consumes stamina. A stamina meter appears at the bottom of the screen; once depleted, Roach reverts to a walk until stamina regenerates. Equipping different saddles can increase Roach's maximum stamina. Be mindful of the spook meter; getting too close to enemies can cause Roach to panic, throwing Geralt off. You can also tame wild horses using the Axii s. An autopilot feature allows Roach to automatically follow roads when the run button is held down while on a road, though it may not always choose the optimal path at junctions.
