How to Beat Prologue Bosses

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Gryphon: Weak to Igni and Grapeshot bombs. Vulnerable after dive attacks.
• Drowners/Rotfiends: Weak to Igni and Specter Oil. Use Aard to push them back.

Phases:

1. Gryphon Encounter: The Gryphon will attack with swoops, claw swipes, and a poison breath. It has two main phases: one on the ground and one in the air.
2. Drowner/Rotfiend Encounters: These are smaller, more frequent encounters often in groups.

Strategy:

• Gryphon: Use Quen for defense. Dodge its lunges and aerial attacks. Hit it with Igni when it lands or after dodging. Use bombs like Grapeshot. Apply Specter Oil to your silver sword. Focus on hitting it after it finishes an attack animation.
• Drowners/Rotfiends: Use Igni to damage groups and ignite them. Aard can stagger them, creating openings. Dodge their lunges and bites. Use Specter Oil.
