The Grove Area — Schedule I Walkthrough

Start the Game: After a cutscene and character customization, you spawn near the bus station. Open your phone ('Tab') and read messages to receive the 'Getting Started' quest. Follow the instructions to find a message from 'Unknown' (Uncle Nelson) asking you to go to the payphone. Uncle Nelson will then instruct you to retrieve his stash near the skatepark, located on a ledge by the road leading to the motel. You will find $375.

Rent a Motel Room: Speak to the motel manager, Donna, in the house next to the motel. The quest will update to 'Rent a motel room'. After the dialogue, you can pickpocket Donna to steal back the $75 needed for the room. Go to room 1 and step inside to complete the quest. Return to the payphone to speak with Uncle Nelson again.

Buy Equipment: A new questline, 'Gearing Up', begins. Go to the hardware store (marked by a yellow star on the map, or by walking forward from your room until the road ends, turning left). At the hardware store, deposit your cash at the ATM and then purchase a grow tent, a soil bag, and a watering can. It is also recommended to buy 'Plant Trimmers', a 'Packaging Station', and 10 'Baggies' for future quests. Optionally, buy a trash grabber and a 'Trash bag' to manage trash. If you tell Dan, the shop owner, you are a drug dealer, he may give you 'Speed Grow'. Return to your motel room, place the grow tent, and fill the pot with soil using the grow tent and soil bag.

Plant Your First Seeds: Talk to Uncle Nelson again, who will introduce you to Albert Hoover. Check your phone for a message from Albert. To order seeds, send a message and select 'I need to order a [dead drop]'. Purchase 'OG Kush' seeds. Albert will deliver them to a highlighted [dead drop] location. Pay off your debt by placing cash in the [dead drop] behind the hardware store. Sow the seed in the grow tent by holding the seed and pressing 'E' near the tent. Water the plant using the watering can, filling it at the sink. After watering, sleep to advance plant growth and conserve water.

Harvest and Package: Once the plant is fully grown, use the 'Plant Trimmers' on the grow tent to harvest the buds. Place down the 'Packaging Station'. Interact with the station, drag baggies into the 'Packaging' slot, and buds into the 'Input' slot. Press 'Pack' and then drag each bud into a baggie, and the baggie into the hopper. The packaged weed will appear in the output. You can also unpack weed by reversing the process.
