Resolving the Grove Conflict

Starting the Game: After character customization, you receive the 'Getting Started' quest. Follow instructions to check your phone, find a message from 'Unknown' (Uncle Nelson), and go to the payphone. Uncle Nelson directs you to retrieve his stash near the skatepark, containing $375.

Renting a Motel Room: Speak to the motel manager, Donna. The quest updates to 'Rent a motel room'. After dialogue, you can pickpocket Donna to reclaim the $75 needed for the room. Enter room 1 to complete the quest. Return to the payphone to speak with Uncle Nelson again.

Buying Equipment: A new questline, 'Gearing Up', begins. Go to the hardware store (marked by a yellow star on the map or by following the road). Deposit your cash at the ATM. Purchase a grow tent, soil bag, and watering can from Dan. It's recommended to also buy 'Plant Trimmers', 'Packaging Station', and 10 'Baggies'. Consider a trash grabber and 'Trash bag' for optional quests and inventory management. If you mention being a drug dealer to Dan, he may gift you 'Speed Grow'. Return to your motel room, place the grow tent, and add soil to the pot.

Planting your First Seeds: Uncle Nelson introduces Albert Hoover. Check your phone for a message from Albert. Order seeds (initially only 'OG Kush' is available) by selecting the 'I need to order a dead drop' option. Albert will deliver the seeds to a dead drop location. Pay Albert by placing cash in the dead drop behind the hardware store. Sow the seed in the grow tent by holding the seed and pressing 'E' near the tent. Water the plant using the watering can, filling it at the sink first. Sleeping after watering helps plants grow faster and conserves water.

Harvesting and Packaging: Once the plant is fully grown, use the 'Plant Trimmers' to harvest the buds. Place down the 'Packaging Station'. Interact with the station, drag baggies into the 'Packaging' slot, and buds into the 'Input' slot. Press 'Pack' and then drag each bud into a baggie, and the baggie into the hopper. Packaged weed will appear in the output. You can also unpack weed by reversing the process. Jars can also be purchased at the hardware store for storage.
