[9-23] E3M5: Wind Tunnels

After you make it through the first set of tunnels, you'll come out and need to head up some stairs. Go through the passage ahead. Keep an eye out in the corners of this passage; you'll find a spot where you can drop down. This secret drop leads you into a small room packed with goodies and a teleporter that will zap you straight to the Quad Damage power-up. Grab it and get back to the action!

Next up, you'll find yourself on a ledge overlooking another ledge, which itself is above a pool. The whole area kind of looks like a ribbed funnel. From the ledge you're on, head to the far side, the one opposite where you entered. Now, look up at the girders above you. You should spot a Quake symbol. Give it a good shot! Doing so will open up a door right next to where you first entered this area.

You'll eventually reach a room that has stairs leading out, a small wind tunnel blowing above, and a moat surrounding the edge. Don't just run for the stairs! Instead, jump into the moat and swim underneath the main room. This watery path has two exits. One of them is a secret passage that will lead you to a hidden room.

Finally, when you reach the very end of the level, you'll be in the room with the exit teleporter. Before you jump in, aim at the floor right in the center of the room and shoot it. The floor will open up, revealing a hole. Jump down into this hole, but be careful not to accidentally hit the teleporter that's just under the opening. If you manage to avoid it, you'll find some valuable boxes of nails waiting for you.
