Exploration Secrets — MetaMorph Guide

Uncover the hidden depths of MetaMorph! This guide details exploration secrets, class skills, morphic pool mechanics, and rapid mutation abilities to enhance your gameplay.

The Metamorph is a unique class in the game, allowing players to alter their bodies and adapt to various situations. This guide delves into the secrets of exploration for Metamorph characters, covering their class skills, unique abilities like the Morphic Pool and Biophage, and the powerful Rapid Mutation feature.

Class Skills: Acrobatics (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Disguise (Cha), Fly (Dex), Handle Animal (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (nature) (Int), Perception (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), Sleight of Hand (Dex), Stealth (Dex), Survival (Wis), and Swim (Str). Skill Ranks Per Level: 4 + Int.

Morphic Pool: A Metamorph has an innate pool of bioenergy that fuels their abilities. The maximum amount of bioenergy is equal to the Metamorph's class levels + their permanent Constitution modifier. This pool is sustained by consuming biomass.

Biophage: Metamorphs can consume biomass from helpless or recently deceased creatures to regain 1 point to their morphic pool per round of consumption. This ability does not work on creatures smaller than Tiny and is not considered an evil act.

Unstable Stability: Metamorphs gain a +4 bonus on saves vs. spells of the polymorph subschool due to their control over their own bodies.

Rapid Mutation: Metamorphs can rapidly mutate their bodies into weapons by expending morphic pool. Mutations last for 10 minutes. A Metamorph can safely mutate 1 morphic pool per round, with an additional point possible by bracing as a swift action. Exceeding this limit inflicts 1 point of Con damage. The number of natural attacks a Metamorph can have increases with level, starting at 3 at 1st level and increasing to 10 by 17th level.

1-Point Mutations: Examples include a Bite attack, which deals 1d6 damage (1d8 if Large, 2d6 if Huge) and is a primary attack.
