Learn how to start Luigi's Mansion, get the Poltergust 3000, and meet Professor E. Gadd in this introductory walkthrough.
Walkthrough
- 1When the game starts, you control Luigi equipped only with his flashlight as he walks through a spooky forest on a dark night with ravens on the tree branches.
- 2Luigi looks at his map (minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)) and sees a nice house surrounded by beautiful environments, but in reality, he sees a spooky mansion.
- 3At the door, Luigi expects to see Mario but figures Mario is inside, so he opens the door and enters.
- 4Once inside, go up the stairs, touch the doors with the A button, and then go back down.
- 5A key will be hovering in the sky in an orange mass. The orange mass will disappear, and the key will fall to the ground.
- 6Grab the key and go up the stairs to the big double doors, where the key is supposed to be inserted.
- 7Enter the room, and a cut-scene (cut-scene) will play where Professor E. Gadd tries to vacuum a ghost but fails.
- 8Professor E. Gadd then chats with Luigi.
- 9Three more ghosts appear, and both Luigi and the professor flee to the scientist's lab.
- 10In the lab, Luigi will explain the situation.
- 11Luigi will be equipped with Professor E. Gadd's ghost vacuum cleaner, the Poltergust 3000, and the Game Boy Horror (HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)).
- 12Luigi will head back into the house to save his brother, Mario.
Tips
- Pay attention to the minimap to orient yourself.
- The Game Boy Horror provides crucial information on your HUD.
