Boss: Bogmire

Learn the best strategy to defeat Bogmire in Luigi's Mansion. This guide covers his attacks, weaknesses, and the steps to vacuum him up.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Bogmire himself is intangible.
• He is vulnerable when hit by the large blobs you vacuum.
• The larger the blob, the longer he's stunned.

Phases:

1. Bogmire appears with a small and a large black blob.
2. Bogmire disappears and reappears, summoning more blobs.
3. Bogmire is defeated and caught in the Poltergust.

Strategy:

• When you first enter the arena, Bogmire will appear with two blobs: a small one and a big one. Focus on the big blob.
• Get close to the big blob and use your Poltergust (hold R and press A) to vacuum it up.
• Once you have the big blob in your Poltergust, move towards Bogmire and shoot the blob at him (press A).
• Bogmire will disappear and reappear, sometimes summoning more blobs. If you're aiming for a golden frame, try to clear out the smaller blobs first so they don't interfere with your main attack.
• If Bogmire is hit by a large blob, a large jelly mass will surround him. If hit by a small blob, a small mass surrounds him. You can vacuum him for longer if the jelly mass is larger.
• Repeat the process of vacuuming the large blobs and shooting them at Bogmire. You'll likely need to do this one or two more times.
• Warning: If you get sucked into a blob while trying to vacuum Bogmire, release the R button immediately to avoid taking damage.
• Once Bogmire is stunned enough, he'll be vulnerable to being vacuumed directly into your Poltergust.
• Congratulations, you've cleared Area 2!
