Guide Luigi through the Conservatory 1F to face Melody Pianissma, a Portrait Ghost with a musical challenge. Learn how to answer her questions and defeat her in Luigi's Mansion.

Alright, time to get musical in the Conservatory! Head back to that room where the Butler was hanging out. It's pretty straightforward from here.

First things first, give the locker next to the piano a good check, and don't forget to zap the lamp hanging from the ceiling. After that, it's time to find our Portrait Ghost: Melody Pianissma. Turns out, she's the Butler's secret love!

To get her attention, you'll need to interact with every instrument in the room. That means tapping on the harp, the saxophone, all three drums, the double bass, and the xylophone. As you do this, try to remember the good old days, it might help!

Once you've played all the instruments, head over to the piano. Melody will appear and start chatting with you. She'll then play a tune – it'll either be the Water Theme from the original Super Mario Bros. for NES or the course music from Super Mario Bros. 3. Pay close attention to what she plays!

She'll then ask you a question about the music. Here are the choices you might get:

• If she plays the Water Theme:
• Water
• Sky
• Er, I don't know
• If she plays the SMB3 music:
• Super Mario World
• Super Mario Bros. 3
• Mario Bros.

Warning: If you give her the wrong answer, she'll get a bit grumpy, tell you to leave, and be ashamed of you. Don't worry though, just leave the room and come back in to try again. You'll have to battle her music sheets, which you'll need to vacuum up. Once they're all gone, you'll have your chance to catch her. Try to keep her in the same spot in the room, just like you did with the Butler.

After you've dealt with Melody, grab the Boo. If you feel like it, you can play the instruments again. Don't forget to pick up the key – it'll open the door to the dining room down the corridor to your right.
