Master Hitman: Absolution's Part 8 guide covering object throwing, car alarms, fuse boxes, radios for luring, and detailed inventory menu controls for weapons and items.
This section of the guide covers various methods for distracting and luring enemies, as well as managing your inventory and movement options in Hitman: Absolution.
Luring and Distractions:
- Throwing Objects: Use the Fire Button to throw objects. The noise attracts nearby enemies, who will appear as yellow on the radar. One enemy will investigate. You can then attack them or move to another area. Once investigated, they return to normal.
- Double/Triple Luring: Throw objects sequentially to lure enemies over longer distances.
- Fragile Objects: Items like Bottles, Bongs, Vases, and Statue Busts break after one use, making them unsuitable for luring multiple people.
- Silenced Pistol: Firing a silenced pistol at a spot can attract attention, though it's less noisy than throwing objects.
- Car Alarm: Smacking or shooting a car triggers its alarm, attracting nearby enemies. Enemies will investigate the part of the car you interacted with (hood, trunk, etc.), which can be used for strategic positioning.
- Fuse Box: Sabotaging a fuse box will cause an enemy to fix it. Use the time they are occupied to sneak past or attack them.
- Radio: Grab, drop, and turn on a radio to lure enemies to that position. This is highly effective due to its placement flexibility. Be careful not to drop it while clipping a wall or throw/shoot it, as it can be destroyed.
- Blood Pools: Attacking with guns or bladed objects leaves blood pools that alert other enemies when found. This can draw attention from everyone, so avoid leaving them if possible.
- Bodies: Unattended bodies can also distract and alert enemies. Hiding them minimizes alert levels.
Inventory Menu (GEN18):
Access the Inventory Menu using the D-Pad to select and equip weapons or items.
- Up on D-Pad: Equips Fiber Wire, current Object, or Remote Explosive.
- Left on D-Pad: Equips Silverballer or non-Silverballer pistol.
- Right on D-Pad: Equips Machine Gun or Sniper Rifle.
- Down on D-Pad: Holsters or brings out the currently held item/weapon. This allows for quick attacks and is known as "Prepping" when used strategically for later use.
Ways of Moving About (GEN19):
- Walking: Move the Left Analog Stick forward.
- Running: Hold the Left Analog Stick forward and press the Run Button. Running makes people suspicious, so use it sparingly.
- Pushing: In crowds, use the Run Button to push through faster.
Sneaking and Melee Attacks (GEN20):
Crouch and move slowly to sneak. Running while crouched is not recommended as it attracts attention.
