Phases:

1. Phase 1: Hrólf starts with a mix of quick sword swings, unblockable lunges, and AoE attacks. He also summons spectral blades that track you.
2. Phase 2: After losing about half his health, Hrólf becomes more aggressive. He gains new combos, including a devastating unblockable grab and more complex aerial attacks. His summons also become more frequent and dangerous.
3. Phase 3: In his final stretch, Hrólf's attacks are faster, and he chains his most powerful moves together. He'll frequently use his signature move: a series of rapid, unblockable strikes followed by a ground slam.

Strategy:

• Master the Parry: This is non-negotiable. King Hrólf punishes hesitation. Learn the timing for his sword swings – a successful parry opens him up for a few hits.
• Dodge the Unblockables: His unblockable attacks are telegraphed by a red ring. A quick double-tap of the dodge button [Circle/B] is usually enough to get you out of the way. Pay special attention to his lunges and his grab attack in Phase 2.
• Deal with Summons: When he summons spectral blades or other spectral enemies, prioritize taking them out quickly. They can overwhelm you if left unchecked. Use area-of-effect attacks if you have them.
