Jewel of Yggdrasil 1 – The Word of Fate
This Jewel is obtained by defeating the Frost Phantom approximately a quarter of the way through the story mission “The Word of Fate”. If you miss picking it up after the fight, it will be available in the Blacksmith’s Chest.
Jewel of Yggdrasil 2 – Forging Destiny
Another Jewel acquired from a story boss. You will find it among the loot dropped by one of the two Ogres encountered near the end of the story mission “Forging Destiny”. As with the first Jewel, if you fail to collect it immediately, it will be placed in the Blacksmith’s Chest.
Jewel of Yggdrasil 3 – The Forgotten Sands, Alfheim
This Jewel is located inside a Legendary Chest in The Forgotten Sands sub-area of Alfheim. This area becomes accessible after completing the story mission “The Reckoning”. To find it, speak with the Light and Dark Elf in Freyr’s Camp to initiate the Favor “The Elven Sanctum”. Follow this Favor to the Elven Sanctum. Inside, progress until you reach a room with tables and chairs. Turn your camera west and grapple up to a ledge. The chest is located behind a tree in the middle of this ledge.
Jewel of Yggdrasil 4 - Noatunn’s Garden, Vanaheim
You can find this Jewel in Noatunn’s Garden in Vanaheim. The most straightforward approach is to travel via the Delta River Mysterious Gate and proceed east along the river. Upon reaching the garden, defeat any enemies present. Then, locate a small ruin to the northwest of the area, near where you docked. The Legendary Chest is inside this ruin. To open the chest’s door, go to the right side of the building and look through a small metal window. You will see a blue lock covered in vines. Use Freya’s Hex Arrows and your Blades of Chaos to clear the vines and open the door. The Jewel of Yggdrasil is inside the chest.
Jewel of Yggdrasil 5 – The Oarsmen, Midgard
This Jewel is contained within a Legendary Chest in The Oarsmen area, situated in the northern part of the Lake of Nine in Midgard. You will need to interact with large chains to progress through this area. After reaching The Oarsmen, follow the path until you descend stairs into a building. Be prepared for several Raiders inside. Once they are dealt with, you will notice a Nornir Chest directly in front of you. The Legendary Chest is beyond the gate next to it, requiring a longer route to access. Climb the northern ledge to the left of the Nornir Chest, then ascend the wall to your east. At the top, you will face The Huntress boss along with some allies. Prioritize defeating her companions while keeping track of The Huntress’s attacks. After defeating her, climb the golden chain hanging from the southern icy wall and follow the path to drop down. You will see the large chains mentioned earlier; interact with them to move them. Turn around and break the wooden barrier by grappling onto it behind you. Proceed through the passage, take a right, and descend the stairs into the building. You will encounter Wisps; stun them using Freya’s Sonic Arrows.
