Nornir Chest
Located in the northern part of The Barrens within some ruins. To open it, you need to light three rune braziers. First, you must destroy hive tendrils obscuring the chest by throwing the Leviathan Axe at them from the desert to the north. The braziers are located as follows:
- Rune 1: East of where you severed the hive tendrils, on some rocks.
- Rune 2: On the roof of the southern ruins. Hit the fire pot with the Leviathan Axe.
- Rune 3: To the left of the Nornir Chest, on some rocks.
Lighting all three will reward you with an Idunn Apple or a Horn of Blood Mead.
Legendary Chests
Gauntlets of Radiance
Found at the base of a ruined tower in the northern part of The Barrens. After defeating two Dark Elves and a Dark Elf Lord, search the southwestern edge of the ruins.
Belt of Radiance
Located in the eastern part of The Barrens. Find a large skeleton, climb inside the skull, and ascend ledges to the southeast to find an arena. After defeating the Grims and Explosive Wretches, climb another ledge to find the chest containing the Belt of Radiance.
Rond of Affliction
From the entrance to The Barrens from The Canyons, follow the cliffs southeast. Look for a partially opened stone door past a pillar. Squeeze through and find the chest buried under hive growth. To clear it, aim up at a twilight stone to the east from the southwestern end of the room and bounce the Leviathan Axe off it to hit three hive tendrils.
