Casualty of War: The Hourglass

To start the favor, head to The Sinkholes in Vanaheim. Grapple up to a ledge near the Mystic Gateway in the starting area. Follow the path, destroying a wall with the Draupnir Spear, until you reach an outdoor area where you may have previously encountered a dragon (the start of 'The Burning Skies' favor).

If this is your first time here, defeat the dragon by hitting the weak points on the pillars with your Draupnir Spear.

Open the large gate on the right side of the area using the chain.

Hop across the gap and enter the nearby cave. Burn the vines, freeze the poison totem, and squeeze through the gap.

Turn the corner, and you will find the spirit that initiates the 'Casualty of War: The Hourglass' favor.

If you have 'The Burning Skies' favor active, you will find the other half of the hourglass during that quest. If not, you will find it in the tunnel where you must avoid the dragon's fire breath.

Ensure you have completed 'Return of the River' to access the location by boat.

Return to where you initially met the dragon and open the gate on the other side. Sail through and dock your boat at the beach.

Open the gate on the beach and follow the tunnel. You will encounter the dragon again here, requiring you to evade its fire breath and defeat enemies.

After clearing rocks in the first tunnel and passing through a second, climb a small ledge to face the dragon again.

Locate the wind vent near the end of the tunnel, throw a spear at it to detonate it, and get rid of the dragon.

The second half of the hourglass will be found where the rocks dropped to block the dragon.
