After the opening movie, you regain control of Rikku and Paine in Luca, two years after FFX. You'll immediately be thrown into a fight.

BOSS - ???? & Goon (x2): This is an introductory fight. The ???? impersonator uses Haste, Regen, Thunder, and Absorb. The Goons simply Attack. The impersonator's special move, Ecstasy, buffs the Goons. Focus on the fight to get used to the ATB system. Rikku is a Thief (speed-oriented), and Paine is a Warrior (brute force).
