Finish the Anchorage War Memorial quest in Fallout 3. Learn how to plant Moira's observer, clear the memorial, and find valuable loot like The Tenderizer.
Walkthrough
- 1Return to Moira. She will heal you, give you an Environmental Suit, three Med-X’s, and your next task: hide a scanning device in a Mirelurk lair without killing any Mirelurks. Use Stealth Boys and your Sneak skill, or make a quick dash. Consider buying the “My First Infirmary” house upgrade if you haven’t already.
- 2Head to the south-eastern side of the island and enter the Memorial Service Entrance (Very Easy). Enter stealth mode, use a Stealth Boy, and head down the tunnel. Continue east at the four-way junction. Plant Moira’s observer in an egg clutch near a Mirelurk, then leave.
- 3Return to Moira to claim your reward: five Stealth Boys and the Shady Hat (raises Sneak and Perception).
- 4Now, clear out the Anchorage Memorial. Enter through a door (Average) at the bottom of a staircase on the south-western end of the island. Kill any Mirelurks and loot the Mercenary’s body for the “Merc’s Orders” note.
- 5Proceed downstairs through the door to the Anchorage Memorial Facility. Search the upper level for minor loot. Downstairs, search Ted’s body for the “Note For Ted”. Interact with the computer (Average) and select ‘Unlock Secure Medical Safe’. In the west room, find a floor safe under a table containing a Door Component and a copy of Dean’s Electronics. On another table in this room, find a D.C. Journal of Internal Medicine. Go through the door on the lower floor to the Anchorage Memorial Facility Bay. Head to the Memorial Service Entrance.
- 6Go to the northern end of the tunnels and find the locked door (north-eastern most door). Use the Door Component and at least 35 Repair to open it. Inside, take the Nuka-Cola Quantum, U.S. Army: 30 Handy Flamethrower Recipes, the Anchorage Stash Key, the Anchorage War Memorial Stash note, and the unique sledgehammer, The Tenderizer.
- 7Head back to the eastern part of the level and go downstairs as far as possible. In a room with dead Mirelurks and meat hooks, one of the fridges contains the Anchorage Stash with 360 Caps, Mirelurk food-products, and the Recipe - Mirelurk Cakes.
- 8Return to Megaton.
Tips
- The Tenderizer does about 50% more damage than a normal Sledgehammer.
- If you haven't already, consider buying the “My First Infirmary” house upgrade to save money on medical supplies and doctor visits.
- Hitting level 12 and getting the Silent Running Perk can help with stealth.
