Finding the Garden of Eden

Head east up two flights of stairs into the main atrium. Loot the rooms to the west for minor supplies, then proceed through the door to the east to reach the second level.

On the second level, go through a door on the southern side of the hall to reach the upper atrium. Defeat the Super Mutants, cross the atrium, and exit through one of the two doors to the south.

Head east down a hallway, turn south down stairs, then west into a room. Slay Super Mutants. Loot the "Engineering Section" terminal and the nearby wall safe [Hard]. Loot the shelves and lockers along the western wall. Return north, head west down hallways until you find a locked door [Average] to the south. Beyond this door is a supply room containing a locked safe [Average], a copy of Pugilism Illustrated, and a Nuka-Cola Quantum on a shelf. This is the final skill book.

Head west up stairs, bypassing a radiation-filled dead-end tunnel to the south. Continue north, then east, then enter a room to the south. Defeat the Super Mutants and use the terminal [Average] to open a locked safe [Average] containing medical supplies. Continue east to a fork. Head south, go through a doorway to the east, and ascend two flights of stairs to find the door to the Test Labs.

Enter the room to your right to find a safe [Easy], an ammo box [Hard], and some unlocked metal boxes. Continue south past Test Chamber 01 (containing a dead FEV Test Subject), Test Chamber 02, and 03. Turn north, then enter the room on your right after Test Chamber 04 to collect chems. Consult the "Chief Physician’s Terminal".

Continue north to a fork. Turn west and activate an intercom to speak with Fawkes. Agree to free Fawkes by hacking the terminal [Hard] near the cell door, or follow his suggestion.

From Fawkes' room, head west down a tunnel, turn south up stairs, then west into a room with Super Mutants. Kill them and proceed west through a tunnel into a room with two doors. Go through the northern door, up stairs, and east around a corner. Continue east to a locked door [Hard]. Beyond this door is a health cache with an Advanced Radiation Suit, Rad-X, and RadAway. You can also find a safe [Average], lockers, and a Laser Pistol on a table.

Head back into the hallway and through a doorway to the north. Pass through a room with a "Lab Technician Terminal" [Average] (which opens the radiation storage room to the south) and exit through one of two doors to the north. Continue north, then east, through a doorway, clear the room, and exit through another door to the east. Keep going east, then south through a doorway and a series of rooms. Loot lockers and a first aid box in the southernmost room. Along the western side of this room is a "Chamber Terminal".

The nearby door leads to the G.E.C.K., but the hallways are highly irradiated. Equip the Advanced Radiation Suit and Rad-X (for 85% radiation resistance) to survive. Head north, then east, then north again to a door to the west. Navigate the irradiated halls (approx. 20 Rads/sec) to the "GECK Container". Activate it to access the G.E.C.K. Grab it and use RadAway as needed. Activating the G.E.C.K. instead of taking it results in auto-death.

Return to Fawkes' cell. Head east down the hallway, then north, bypassing Isolation Rooms until the end. Turn right into a maintenance room and kill the Super Mutants. Hack the "Medical Wing Maintence Terminal" [Average] to open Isolation Room 05 and free Fawkes, or activate the Fire Control Console to open all rooms, freeing Fawkes and Sid.

Return to Fawkes' cell. Talk to Fawkes to have them retrieve the G.E.C.K. for you. You can trade equipment with Fawkes to obtain Fawkes' Super Sledge. Follow Fawkes to the G.E.C.K. location; the path should now be clear. Fawkes will retrieve the G.E.C.K. for you. Stash your loot before retrieving the G.E.C.K. to maximize inventory space.
