Follow our step-by-step guide for Divinity: Original Sin 2's 'To the Belly of the Mountain' quest. Includes NPC interactions, puzzle solutions, and item locations on the Nameless Isle.
Walkthrough
- 1Lady Vengeance: Upon arrival, Malady will ask about your intentions with Divinity's power. Speak to Gareth, who initiates the quest Seeking Revenge by scouting the Nameless Isle. Talk to Almira, who provides information on crafting the Swornbreaker and initiates the quest Invaders by suggesting you seek out the Sallow Man. Speak to Tarquin for advice and receive the passphrase 'Glechou Dumar'. Check Fletcher Corbin Day's wares belowdecks; previously sold items are now level 8, and some items with rune slots can be upgraded with Giant Runes of Power. Use the boat to reach the mainland.
- 2Nameless Isle (South): Note that there is no Source Fountain on the Nameless Isle. Use Source Vampirism on non-purged corpses to replenish Source.
- 3Nameless Isle - Beach: Head southeast from the starting point. Find a waypoint and unlock the Beach waypoint. Search a Purged Corpse on the steps for a Magister's Diary, updating your quest. Follow the trail of corpses south and examine a Flaming Arrow symbol on the ground by a stone pillar to locate the next piece of the Devourer armour set. Find the remains of a Lizard Cultist carrying a Cultist's Note and a Small Flame Rune. Use a Teleportation Pyramid to send a party member to the broken bridge above to loot an Energy Chest. Use movement skills to cross the broken bridge south, then have the rest of the party catch up with Teleportation Pyramids. Follow the ledge south, unlocking the Temple of Amadia waypoint. Send a party member to the northeast corner of the temple to find a lootable Reliquary.
- 4Up in the Clouds: Rejoin your party at the waypoint and use vines to reach a floating temple. Examine the statue. Placing your hand on the Shrine grants Air Immunity. Use movement skills to reach the island to the north. Cast Spirit Vision near the burned remains of a Black Ring Reaver to speak to his spirit. Threaten to devour his Source if he is uncooperative; he will warn you about the sentinels (burning rocks) that attack when they stop moving. Head north and interact with a Hovering Rune to remove the eastern barrier. Continue to the end and interact with a second Hovering Rune to remove the western barrier. Go back down and west to find a third Hovering Rune, which stops the bombardment and opens a portal in the center.
- 5Eastern Island: Go through the portal to the eastern island. Use movement skills to reach the northernmost island and find an Engraved Jewel on a plinth.
- 6Southern Island and Sentinel Puzzle: Return to the previous island and head south. You will see someone trapped on a pillar amidst sentinel bombardment. Carefully proceed south to find a fourth Hovering Rune. Activate it to remove an eastern barrier. Head east and activate a fifth Hovering Rune to remove a western barrier (and create a southern barrier). Head west and activate the final Hovering Rune to stop the sentinels and free the Knight of Amadia. Accept her gift to receive the Knight of Amadia's Gloves.
- 7Altar to Amadia: Head back west to where you activated the fifth rune. Use Rolled-Up Vines to create a path down. Cross a fallen tree to the north and climb vines to reach the Altar to Amadia (1/7). Pray at the altar. You will have a vision of a woman asking for Source; you can choose to feed her, with a Source Puddle nearby.
