Learn about Divinity: Original Sin 2 Civil Abilities like Telekinesis, Loremaster, Sneaking, Thievery, Bartering, Persuasion, and Lucky Charm.

Civil Abilities:

Craftsmanship

  • Telekinesis: Each point allows you to move objects up to 4m, regardless of weight. This ability can be used in combat for 1 Action Point (AP).
  • Loremaster: Use in combat to examine enemies' stats and resistances, or outside of combat to identify items. Higher level enemies and items require higher Loremaster levels. Item identification also requires an Identifying Glass.

Nasty Deeds

  • Sneaking: Investing in Sneaking makes it easier to sneak undetected. Higher levels shrink Non-Player Character (NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you)) sight cones and increase movement speed while sneaking.
  • Thievery: Governs your ability to pick locks and pick pockets. Pickpocketing an NPC requires interacting with them while sneaking. Thieving is limited by weight and value, with specific limits per level:
    • Lvl 1: 2kg, 300G
    • Lvl 2: 4kg, 450G
    • Lvl 3: 6kg, 1100G
    • Lvl 4: 8kg, 2350G
    • Lvl 5: 10kg, 3800G
    • Lvl 6: 12kg, 6000G
    • Lvl 7: 14kg, 9400G
    • Lvl 8: 16kg, 14,800G
    • Lvl 9: 18kg, 23,300G
    • Lvl 10: 20kg, 36,650G

Personality

  • Bartering: Decreases buying prices from merchants and increases selling prices, with specific percentages per level:
    • Lvl 1: -3.7% buying, +3.8% selling
    • Lvl 2: -7.4% buying, +8.0% selling
    • Lvl 3: -11.1% buying, +12.5% selling
    • Lvl 4: -14.8% buying, +17.4% selling
    • Lvl 5: -18.5% buying, +22.7% selling
    • Lvl 6: -22.2% buying, +28.5% selling
    • Lvl 7: -25.9% buying, +35.0% selling
    • Lvl 8: -29.6% buying, +42.1% selling
    • Lvl 9: -33.3% buying, +49.9% selling
    • Lvl 10: -37.0% buying, +58.7% selling
  • Persuasion: Allows you to pass Persuasion checks in dialogue. Each point in Persuasion counts as 1 point towards the check's requirement. Every two attribute points above an NPC's attribute value lowers the requirement by 1. Each point invested also increases NPC base Attitude by +5.
  • Lucky Charm: Occasionally find additional items when searching loot containers. Higher investment increases frequency and quality of loot. This benefits the entire party. Being drunk confers a +2 Lucky Charm bonus.
