If you choose not to play an Origin character, you can select from one of four player races (Human, Elf, Dwarf, Lizard) or their undead variants, totaling eight distinct options. Human

  • Ability: Flesh Sacrifice (1 AP, 0 Memory Slots, Self range, 2 turn duration, 5 turn cooldown) - Sacrifices 1-6 CON (level dependent) to gain +1 AP and +10% damage. Creates a blood surface.

Dwarf

  • Traits: +1 Sneaking (Dwarven Guile), +5% Dodging, +10% max Vitality (Sturdy)
  • Ability: Petrifying Touch (2 AP, 0 Memory Slots, 2m range, 1 turn duration, 4 turn cooldown) - Resisted by Magic Armour. Incapacitates the target, dealing Earth damage that scales with Geomancer. Removes Bleeding, Burning, Poisoned, and Crippled statuses.

Lizard

Undead

  • Traits: Healed by poison, damaged by regular healing effects. Receives one of the following racial traits: Ingenious, Corpse Eater, Sturdy, or Sophisticated. Must remain masked to avoid NPC hostility. Can open locks without lockpicks.
  • Ability: Play Dead (1 AP, 0 Memory Slots, Self range, 3 turn duration, 6 turn cooldown) - Fall apparently dead, causing enemies to ignore you. You can drink potions and receive healing without breaking the effect. If you are the last surviving party member, combat ends.
