Walkthrough - Return to Aeos

Examine the Command Console on the flight deck and choose Aeos as your destination. A scene will occur and at its end, Sarah will join the party.

Sarah joins the list of symbol users in your party. She can cast wind-, thunder-, and light-elemental attack symbols. She can help with support symbols, too, and will be the most effective healer in the group. Sarah doesn't have her own skill for coming up with a new category of Item Creation recipes, but adding her to inventing groups with other characters will prompt new recipes in several categories. She brings the new Item Creation skill, Synthesis. It lets you fuse items to a piece of equipment to change its stats and add factors. With the Skill Manual you found in darkness-sealed chest in Tropp, you can teach Sarah the Augury skill. She can use it from the Skills Menu to listen to Lady Eleyna's auguries and receive some adventuring tips.

During the long flight to Aeos, you can view a number of Private Actions (PA 34-39). Selecting the right Private Action is a little more complicated this time and you may want to keep separate save files so you will have a backup if things don't go as you planned. But before you get started on Private Actions, check the Item Creation console in the Meeting Room to see a scene with Welch and your newest party member.

When the flight is complete, head to the Flight Deck for the landing scene.

You can venture into the southern reaches of Aeos to investigate the phantom ship, but there are other things you can do first.

You should still have a charge in your Light Ring. If you do, leave the exploration base by the northeast exit and cross the bridge. In this western section of the Northern Coast, a Treasure Chest sealed by darkness holds 19,800 Fol. Since the ring only holds one charge, you want to get that chest opened now. You will recharge the ring before you need it again.

If you didn't have enough Insect Eggs and Insect Legs to make the Otherworldly Cuisine for the Otherworldly Diet quest, you can fight the bugs on Aeos to get some more. Put Faize in the battle party and raise his Entomology skill to increase the item drop rate when you battle these insects.

While farming the Insect Eggs and Legs, you can go to Urd Falls Cave. Now that you have the Earth Ring, you can use it to remove the rock barrier blocking that eastern chamber. There are a couple of treasure pods inside.

Then return to the Calnus to do some other things that have just become available.
