Guide to reaching En II in Star Ocean: The Last Hope, including quests on Roak, crafting Intensified Gunpowder, and viewing Private Actions during the journey.
When you examine the Command Console on the Calnus Flight Deck, the list of available destinations appears. You can set course for En II now or revisit another planet first. If you haven't spoken with Lutea again to start the Lutea's Secret Stones quest or if you want to complete other quests on Lemuris, you can select that destination. There also are some new quests available on Roak. Whichever destination you select will prompt a scene on the Flight Deck. When the scene ends, you will arrive at the destination you chose.
Planet Roak
If you haven't made a Li'l Vending Machine No. 2 via Item Creation, now would be a good time. You will have to raise Bacchus's Engineering skill to level 10 to come up with the recipe. You can set the vending machine up in the Recreation Room and have a place to buy various Item Creation materials without having to leave the Calnus. Before you set out, try to make Intensified Gunpowder x20. This level 4 Compounding recipe requires Gunpowder x4 and Thunder Gem x1 for each Intensified Gunpowder. You can't hold more than Gunpowder x20 at one time, but you can buy more at the vending machine and continue creating until you have 20 Intensified Gunpowder.
Leave the Calnus and make your way to Tatroi. You may be able to replace some of the Thunder Gems used to make the Intensified Gun Powder by hitting the Mining Points along the way. In Tatroi, visit Jasmine, Queen of Inventors, on the east side of town. She will now give you The Fourth Errand quest. Give her the Intensified Gunpowder you created and she will reward you. Talk to her again and she will offer her final quest, The Fifth Errand.
Complete Jasmine's Fifth Errand and she will reward you with Recipe Memo 01. When you show it to Welch, you can create the Arcana Sword. In addition to providing a significant increase in Edge's ATK, it also gives a modest boost to other stats. More importantly, it reduces the MP cost of his Arts and Symbols in battle.
Head to Tropp next and enter Eleyna's Hideout by the beach entrance. Talk to Lady Eleyna to get the quest, It Came From the Vent. You can complete the quest right away and report back. Lady Eleyna will reward you with Recipe Memo 13, which lets you make the Healing Sheet ship furnishing.
After completing the quest, leave Eleyna's Hideout and return. If you talk to her again, you can view a Private Action (PA 61) now rather than later.

Now you can return to the Calnus and continue your voyage to En II.
En Route to En II
On the Calnus Flight Deck, select the En II destination to start a lengthy scene. During the trip to En II, you have opportunity to view several Private Actions (PA 45-53). As before, there will be choices in which PAs to view and you may want to keep more than one save file during the trip.
When you receive the System message to prepare for warp-out, go to the Flight Deck to view the landing scene.
