Discover the SimCity 2000 joke pop-up, featuring either a dead fish or a SimCity Classic splash screen variation depending on your game version.

A pop-up window will appear in SimCity 2000. The image displayed depends on your specific copy of the game.

In some versions, you will see a poorly rendered dead fish with an arm and its tongue sticking out. This image is accompanied by the phrase: "THE PIRATE SQUID CLUB WANTS YOU!" For more information on the Pirate Squid Club, refer to Section 9 (L N K).

In other versions of SimCity 2000, you will see a variation of the SimCity Classic splash screen presented in a Windows 3.1-style window. The title of this window is "SimCity Two Cows In Windows." It is believed this is intended to rhyme with "SimCity 2000 Windows," but this is not confirmed.
