    Enter Petalburg Woods and head northwest through the grass.

    Collect the Paralyze Heal from the grass.

    Continue east, passing another grass patch.

    Head north of the second grass patch to encounter Team Aqua stealing Devon Goods from a researcher.

    After the cutscene, the researcher will ask you to defeat the Team Aqua Grunt.

    Battle the Grunt's Level 9 Poochyena. He will reward you with $180.

    The researcher will give you your first Great Ball.

    Continue west to two split grass patches and collect the Ether from one of them.

    Head north to find an opening leading back out to Route 104.
