5. Walkthrough

Your ultimate guide to Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire! From choosing your starter to defeating the Elite Four, we'll walk you through every step of your Hoenn journey.

Walkthrough:

1. First things first, you'll need to decide if you want to play as a boy or a girl. This choice also determines your rival's gender – they'll be the opposite of what you pick. After that, give your character a name. The game kicks off with you inside a moving truck, which is a pretty unique start! Your mom will be there to greet you.
2. Once you exit the truck, some Vigoroths will help move your belongings into your new house. Depending on your gender choice, you'll either start on the left side of Littleroot Town (if you're a boy) or the right side (if you're a girl). Head into your house and go upstairs to your room.
3. In your room, the first thing you should do is interact with the clock on the wall by pressing A. This is your one and only chance to set the in-game time, so pick whatever you like! Keep in mind that certain game events are time-dependent, and we'll touch on those later.
4. Before you leave your room, head over to your PC. Turn it on by pressing A, then select
