Navigate the luck-based Battle Pike in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Learn about room events, Pike Queen Lucy's Pokémon, and earn Luck Symbols.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the Battle Factory, travel east and take the northern path on the right. This leads to the Battle Pike, a building shaped like a Seviper.
  2. 2
Inside, every other room presents a choice of paths. Each path leads to either a good or bad event.
  3. 3
If unsure, speak to the woman in the room. Her descriptions hint at the path's potential outcome:
    • "A trainer? I sense the presence of people..." - This path may lead to a trainer battle or a room that heals your Pokémon (trainer battle is more likely).
  4. 4
"I seem to have heard something..." - This path may lead to a double battle with two trainers or a break room with an inactive person (double battle is more likely).
  5. 5
"Distinct aroma of Pokemon wafting around it..." - This path may lead to a difficult trainer or a maze room filled with wild Pokémon (maze is more likely).
  6. 6
"I felt a wave of nostalgia coming from it..." - Warning: DO NOT take the path she refers to. This path is likely to result in your Pokémon being inflicted with status conditions. While a healing NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) may appear, it is safer to choose a different path.
  7. 7
"A terrifying event, yes, a horrible one, is about to befall you..." - This indicates you will battle Pike Queen Lucy.
  8. 8
After clearing 7 rooms, you earn Battle Points.
  9. 9
After clearing 14 rooms, Pike Queen Lucy will appear. One of the paths you take before her will heal your Pokémon.
  10. 10
First Battle with Pike Queen Lucy:
    • Seviper (Level unknown) - Item: Quick Claw. Moves: Poison Fang, Swagger, Giga Drain, Crunch. Weak to Psychic and Ground attacks.
  11. 11
Milotic (Level unknown) - Item: Leftovers. Moves: Surf, Ice Beam, Recover, Mirror Coat. High Special Defense; resistant to Grass and Electric attacks due to Mirror Coat. Use physical attacks.
  12. 12
Shuckle (Level unknown) - Item: Chesto Berry. Moves: Toxic, Sandstorm, Protect, Rest. Very high Defense and Special Defense, but low Attack and Special Attack. Annoying status moves like Toxic and Sandstorm.
  13. 13
Defeating Lucy in this first encounter earns you the silver Luck Symbol.
  14. 14
After clearing 70 rooms in total, you will face Pike Queen Lucy again.
  15. 15
Second Battle with Pike Queen Lucy:
    • Seviper (Level unknown) - Weak to Psychic and Ground attacks.
  16. 16
Gyarados (Level unknown) - Weak to Electric attacks (Thunderbolt).
  17. 17
Steelix (Level unknown) - Weak to Water, Fire, Ground, and Fighting attacks.
  18. 18
Defeating Lucy in this second encounter earns you the gold Luck Symbol.
Tips
  • For the first battle, Psychic or Ground attacks are effective against Seviper. Be cautious of Milotic's Mirror Coat when using special attacks; physical attacks are recommended. Shuckle is slow to defeat due to its high defenses, but its low offensive stats make it less threatening.
  • For the second battle, Thunderbolt is highly effective against Gyarados. Steelix can be defeated with Water, Fire, Ground, or Fighting-type moves.
  • Success in the Battle Pike relies heavily on luck, especially in choosing the correct paths and encountering beneficial events.
