Bastion Unbound

Bastion is a large target, making him easy to hit but also dangerous when he attacks. His attacks include stomping his foot to cause electrical rain (marked areas indicate where it will land), spewing fire after inhaling, and emitting steam from side pipes that can hit multiple times. When you see a weak spot, damage it to make Bastion double over, allowing you to attack him safely. Later, Bastion will electrify himself, causing melee damage. He will also summon small, flying turrets that shoot lasers; destroy these to obtain higmakers.

Gather enough higmakers from destroyed turrets to summon cannons that deal significant damage to Bastion.

After defeating Bastion, he will revive with full health. Your objective shifts to survival; ignore your teammates and focus on dodging attacks. A cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) will play, and Lofty will receive an upgrade. You will control Evan. Attacking Bastion directly is ineffective. Instead, platforms will appear; keep moving if you don't see them. Ascend the platforms, which will increase in number as you climb. Be aware of lightning strikes on the platforms. Some platforms may disappear after you jump on them, requiring you to restart the ascent.

Upon reaching the top, several cutscenes will play, and you will regain control. Trigger the Trip Door (Cradle of Wisdom) in front of you. Speak with Zip to have him sign the Declaration of Interdependence. This concludes the chapter, with Bracken joining your party permanently.
