035 Fun with Fungi

Need help with the 'Fun with Fungi' sidequest in Ni no Kuni II? We'll guide you to the right mushrooms and their locations. Get 600 Exp and 1460 KG!

Alright, so you've finished up that sidequest for Miss Henny, 024 Miss Henny’s Misfortune. Head back to Evermore, and guess what? Miss Henny's got another request for you! She's planning a lesson for the kids and needs your help gathering some special mushrooms.

She'll give you some riddles to figure out which mushrooms she needs:

• “This is a very poisonous mushroom indeed. Expert knowledge is required to extract its venom.” - The answer is Toadstool.
• “This refreshing mushroom tastes just as bright and breezy as it looks” - This one is Bluesky Buttontops.
• “This mushroom may look sweet and beautiful, but its flavor is famously awful” - You're looking for Cutesy Pops.

Now, where do you find these fungi? You can grab Toadstools and Cutesy Pops over in the Forest of Niall. Just a heads-up, Cutesy Pops are a bit rarer than Toadstools. If you're having trouble finding Cutesy Pops, try the Hard Woods area, which you'll unlock a bit later in Chapter 5. As for the Bluesky Buttontops, you can get them from Makronos once you have your ship. However, if you've already upgraded your Lumberyard in Evermore to level two, you might find it easier to just grab them there at the Branching/Spreading Lumberyard.

Completing this quest will net you 600 Exp and 1460 KG, plus you'll get 5 Sweet Dream Truffles!
