Tips
  • Rescued soldiers, Unique Characters (like Jonathan, Para-Medic, Python, Raikov, Sigint, Sokolov, Eva, Venus, Teliko, Gene in EU version), soldiers found via AP Scan, and those recruited via password (GAKO soldier, Zero if you don't own the Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel) join your unit immediately.
  • Cyber-Survival mode, accessible via WLAN, allows you to send your units on missions. Success can lead to voluntary recruitment and gifts (like Stealth Camouflage), but failure risks capturing your own soldiers.
  • Soldiers have different careers that affect their abilities and the best unit to place them in:
    • Athlete, Quarterback, Scout, Rescuer, Deliveryman, Bait: Best in Infiltration Unit.
  • Artist, Stuntman: Best in Online Unit.
  • Gambler: Best in Cyber-Survival.
  • Surveyor, Spy/Agent, Arms Dealer: Best in Intelligence Unit.
  • Arms Specialist, Elite Engineer, Engineer: Best in Technical Unit.
  • Chemist, Doctor, Nutritionist: Best in Medical Unit.
  • Politician: Can be placed in ANY UNIT to speed up prisoner recruitment.
  • The Spy/Agent career decreases enemy life by 10%, but also affects your recruits' life, so use with caution.
