    Knock out enemy soldiers.

    Drag them to the truck or a cardboard box before they regain consciousness.

    After completing or aborting the mission, captured soldiers will be in prison on the Squad Management screen.

    Soldiers will join your unit after a few days; this process is faster if you have a Politician in your squad.
Tips
  • Rescued captured soldiers join your unit immediately.
  • Unique Characters have special conditions for recruitment.
  • The following characters join immediately upon capture/rescue: Jonathan, Para-Medic, Python, Raikov, Sigint, Sokolov, Eva, Venus, Teliko, Gene (EU version), any rescued soldier, any soldier via AP Scan, any soldier via password (GAKO soldier and Zero are recommended), and any soldier who joins via Cyber-Survival.
  • Soldiers have different careers that affect their abilities and the best unit to assign them to:
    • Athlete, Quarterback, Scout, Rescuer, Deliveryman, Bait: Best for Infiltration Unit.
  • Artist, Stuntman: Best for Online Unit.
  • Gambler: Best for Cyber-Survival.
  • Surveyor, Spy/Agent, Arms Dealer: Best for Intelligence Unit.
  • Arms Specialist, Elite engineer, Engineer: Best for Technical Unit.
  • Chemist, Doctor, Nutritionist: Best for Medical Unit.
  • Politician: Can be placed in ANY UNIT to make prisoners join more easily.
  • Cyber-Survival mode requires a WLAN connection. Assign equipment to your unit and send them online. Check their condition after 12 hours. Losing Cyber-Survival missions can result in captured soldiers, but you may also recruit enemy soldiers who join willingly or give gifts.
