Walkthrough
- 1Knock out enemy soldiers.
- 2Drag them to the truck or a cardboard box before they wake up.
- 3After completing or aborting the mission, captured soldiers will be in prison on the Squad Management screen.
- 4Soldiers will join your unit after a few days; this is faster if you have a Politician in your squad.
- 5Rescued soldiers and unique characters join immediately.
- 6Unique characters include Jonathan, Para-Medic, Python, Raikov, Sigint, Sokolov, Eva, Venus, Teliko, and Gene (EU version).
- 7Soldiers can also be recruited via AP Scan, passwords (GAKO soldier and Zero are notable exceptions), or by joining voluntarily through Cyber-Survival.

- Soldiers have different careers that affect their abilities and best unit placement (e.g., Athlete for Infiltration, Politician for faster recruitment).
- Cyber-Survival mode allows you to send your units online via WLAN. Assign equipment, send them out, and check their condition after 12 hours.
