To progress in Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, you must recruit allies. All soldiers must be knocked out and then dragged to a truck or cardboard box before they wake up. After a mission, they will be in prison and will eventually join your unit, a process sped up by having a Politician in your squad.
Special conditions:
- Rescued soldiers join immediately.
- Unique Characters have special conditions to fulfill.
- The following characters join immediately after capture/rescue: Jonathan, Para-Medic, Python, Raikov, Sigint, Sokolov, Eva, Venus, Teliko, Gene (EU version), any rescued soldier, any soldier via AP Scan, any soldier via password (GAKO and Zero recommended), and any soldier who joins via Cyber-Survival.
