Defeat the Prison Keeper and Oogie Boogie in Kingdom Hearts II. Learn strategies and rewards for these boss battles.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The Prison Keeper has three phases based on which of the three children (Lock, Shock, or Barrel) it swallows.
  2. 2
When it swallows Lock, it shoots fireballs; bat them back or use Quick Run and combo up close. Its hands will be red.
  3. 3
When it swallows Shock, its hands turn yellow, and it spins, releasing energy balls.
  4. 4
When it swallows Barrel, its hands turn green, and it attacks wildly.
  5. 5
Use aerial attacks to maintain combos and keep your HP high.
  6. 6
Use the "Inside Combo" Reaction Command (when available) to stun the Prison Keeper during phase transitions.
  7. 7
Valor Form is effective for aerial combos.
  8. 8
Towards the end, the Prison Keeper swallows all three children and uses all attacks. Blizzard or Wisdom Form are good for distance, but melee is also viable.
  9. 9
After defeating the Prison Keeper, head back to Christmas Town and fight the Emerald Blue Heartless.
  10. 10
The Emerald Blue uses Aero to surround itself with wind, protecting it from attacks. It charges from above and can use a Tornado to disorient you. Focus on eliminating these first.
  11. 11
Save at Yuletide Hill and proceed to Santa's House, then the Factory, to face Oogie Boogie.
  12. 12
To damage Oogie Boogie, use the Reaction Command "Fore!" to toss presents onto the lift; 12 presents are needed to break the lift.
  13. 13
Oogie Boogie attacks include Squisher (a boxing glove smash), Oogie Gifts (summons Heartless from a dispenser), and Exploding Dice.
  14. 14
After the first knockdown, Oogie Boogie uses Zapper (lightning strikes moving towards a spiked wall).
  15. 15
After each knockdown, the conveyor belt speeds up, and Oogie Boogie may switch lanes; chase him using Reaction Commands when portals light up.
  16. 16
After the second knockdown, Oogie Boogie uses Zapper and Oogie Gift together, switching lanes frequently.
  17. 17
It takes three knockdowns to defeat Oogie Boogie. Use Potions to maintain HP.
