Master the Trinity Armor and Masked Boy boss fights in Kingdom Hearts II. Learn their attack patterns, weaknesses, and strategies to emerge victorious.
Walkthrough
- 1Trinity Armor Fight: This boss starts as a single unit using Fire Rain, Charge (a three-hit dash), and Trinity Laser. Avoid Fire Rain by moving away, Charge with Barrier or Cartwheel, and dodge the sweeping Trinity Laser with Cartwheel.
- 2After dealing enough damage or the Trinity Laser is used, Trinity Armor breaks into pieces: legs, arms, and head. Use a Shotlock on the spinning pieces. Focus on defeating the arms and legs first, as they are easier. The pieces will regroup to use Trinity Laser again before separating. Defeat one piece at a time, leaving the head for last.
- 3Post-Trinity Armor Exploration: Return to Central Square via the Aqueduct and Fountain Court.
- 4Aqueduct: Collect a [HI-POTION] early on. At the end, find a [BLOCK RECIPE], [THUNDARA], and another [HI-POTION]. Use a jump and Keyblade swing to get the [DONUT STICKER] from a ledge.
- 5Fountain Court: In the northeast corner, find chests with a [SOOTHING CRYSTAL] and the [COUNTER BLAST]. Defeat Blue Sea Salts below to spawn Prize Pods.
- 6Castle Town: Meet Merlin. Collect the [FLOWER STICKER] near the save point. Visit the shop for new commands.
- 7Merlin's House: Interact with the book to unlock a Command Board and open a chest for [XEHANORT'S REPORT 3].
- 8Central Square: Proceed to Central Square for a surprise.
- 9Masked Boy Fight: This boss is aggressive. His resistances make him vulnerable to status effects. Equip Ignite, Poison, Magnet, Blizzard, and Cure.
- 10Start with Ignite, then play defensively. Watch out for Sliding Dash (block with Barrier), Crawling Fire (block), and Lightning Bolt (dodge). He may warp behind you after being hit, so be ready to guard.
- 11Dodge his attacks to create openings for combos or magic. Magnet can suspend him, Poison and Ignite chip away health, and Blizzard can Freeze him. Heal only after dodging an attack to avoid being hit by Lightning Bolt.
