Alright, so you're ready to join the Rattay guard and help keep the peace! Your first real duty is to team up with Jaroslav, also known as Nightingale. You'll be on patrol with him between 11:00 in the morning and 7:00 in the evening. First things first, you'll need to grab your guard armour. Head to the lower room of the armoury and speak to one of the guards there to pick it up. Once you're geared up, you can find Nightingale hanging around the church grounds.

When you catch up with Nightingale, he'll want you to tag along with him on patrol. Think of it as a guided tour of Rattay! He'll show you the ropes and point out important spots. Along the way, you'll stumble upon a bit of a kerfuffle between the local weaponsmith and a beggar named Jane from Skalitz. Your job here is to play peacemaker. Try to find a solution that leaves both of them reasonably happy. Honestly, how you handle this is really up to your own role-playing style and what you think is fair.

After you've sorted out that dispute, Nightingale will lead you to the tavern. Here, he might ask if you're up for a game of Farkle. The rules are explained in-game if you decide to play. If you're not feeling lucky or just want to get on with things, you can politely decline and just wait around until nightfall.

As darkness settles over Rattay, you'll get another task: ringing the bell at the Rathaus. This signals that the day is done and the shops are closing. Make sure you've got a torch handy for this part! Walking through Rattay in the dark without one might earn you a scolding from your fellow guards, and nobody wants that.

Your final duty for the day involves the Trader's Tavern, located in the market square. Some customers can be a bit stubborn about leaving when it's time to close up. Tonight, your special 'customer' is none other than Sir Hans Capon himself. You'll have a cutscene where Henry tries to convince him to leave, but it doesn't quite go as planned. Things escalate, and a fight breaks out.

Don't worry too much about the outcome of the fight itself. Whether you win, lose, or just get a few punches in, the scuffle will be interrupted by the arrival of Sir Hanush. He'll step in and put an end to the commotion, wrapping up your patrol duties for the day.
